Iran, US Nuclear Talks Might Be Held in Oman
Discussions are ongoing regarding whether representatives from Arab and Muslim countries in the region will participate in the talks in Oman. The meetings aim to address Iran’s nuclear program and had originally been set for Istanbul, where US special envoy Steve Witkoff was scheduled to meet Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.
Reports suggest that Iran is also seeking changes to the format of the negotiations. Previously, representatives from Türkiye, Egypt, and Qatar were expected to join the talks, but Iran appears to be pushing for a more direct engagement. The White House, as well as authorities in Ankara, Muscat, and Tehran, have not yet officially confirmed the details.
