Netanyahu Talks to Top US Officials on Iran

(MENAFN) Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with senior US negotiators on Tuesday shortly after arriving in Washington, ahead of scheduled discussions with President Donald Trump. The meetings included Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and Trump adviser Jared Kushner, focusing on the ongoing negotiations with Iran following last week’s talks in Oman.

According to reports, the session took place at Blair House, the US president’s official guest residence, just hours after Netanyahu’s arrival for his sixth official visit since Trump returned to the White House.

The upcoming White House discussions are expected to center on the next round of US-Iran nuclear negotiations, resuming after an eight-month pause that followed US strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities in June. Tensions between Washington and Tehran have escalated amid the US military buildup in the Persian Gulf and repeated threats of military action by Trump.
